My Experience & Approach
Kyle Neddenriep, Attorney at Law
"My mission has always been to guide my clients through the process, protect their constitutional rights, and work tirelessly to secure the best outcome possible."
As a criminal defense attorney for my entire career, I know too well the profound impact that being arrested and charged with a crime can have on a person's life. The criminal justice system can be lengthy, stressful, and potentially life-altering. My mission has always been to guide my clients through the process, protect their Constitutional rights, and work tirelessly to secure the best outcome possible.
Over the years, I have represented over a thousand clients in courtrooms across California, defending against charges ranging from DUI to murder. I began my career at the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office in 2014 and later worked as a Deputy Public Defender in both Santa Clara County and El Dorado County. As a dedicated former public defender, I gained experience representing my clients effectively, regardless of the circumstances.
I've seen firsthand how clients and their families can feel intimidated and confused by the criminal justice system. That's why, when I meet a new client, the first thing I do is make sure they understand the process. We then work collaboratively to determine the best course of action given their case and circumstances. By advocating aggressively and creatively, I've earned dismissals, not guilty verdicts, and extraordinary sentences for my clients, and while I am foremost a trial lawyer, I recognize that litigation may not always be the best approach. So, where appropriate, I work with my clients to secure the best outcome possible without a trial. Throughout every step of the process, I ensure that my clients are treated fairly and with the dignity and respect they deserve.
Before becoming a lawyer, I grew up on my family's working cattle ranch just outside the Lake Tahoe Basin. I left the ranch to attend college, earning a Broadcast Journalism degree from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. While I loved sharing people's stories, I wanted to advocate for people in a more tangible way, which led me to pursue a law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. After working as an attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area, my wife and I returned to the Sierra Nevada, where we now live in South Lake Tahoe. When I'm not in court or meeting with clients, you can find me skiing, climbing, or spending time with my chocolate lab.
